Chalk up the sale of another oceanfront “mansion in the sky” – maybe.

Last week’s sale was of five contiguous condominium units approved for possible uniting as one.

The buyer, an “international” corporation – five, actually – hadn’t decided whether the units would become a single condominium, said deal broker Senada Adžem, director of Douglas Elliman Florida’s luxury division.

The residential sale is a combination of five separate, decorator-ready units at St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort & Residences. The combined unit totals 16,430 square feet under air – and 21,176 square feet including terraces and other space. The sale was for $24.6 million.

The sale represents the largest such sale at St. Regis, a high-rise on 9.5 acres of beachfront property with amenities including concierge; all-hours, in-room dining service; personal chef; housekeeping; child care and pet care.

“This is the best of the best, in terms of services,” Adžem said. Whether that’s for one family or five is still unknown.
